Design invariably begins from a ‘point’; a thought culled from the client’s brief; an integral aspect of the business the space will house; even an allegorical element. In the features that we bring you this week, this thought of ‘design germination’ is sure to haunt you in every read. Whether we speak of India, Sweden, China or the Netherlands... a museum, a public space, restaurant, or frugal housing... design sensibilities and approaches are so rooted in practicality and contextual elements and so attuned to human responsiveness that it truly blurs the boundaries with just one thought aloft – design sensitivity.
