World Architecture Festival, Ar. Igor Sirotov, International Fashion Weeks & more...

The last one month of international fashion weeks in New York, Milan, Paris and London have woken up our minds to shifts in mindsets; and provided cues for what one can expect in the near future – the next season. On a similar note, the 3-day packed World Architecture Festival has lauded breakthroughs and commendable architecture and design and laid aspirations anew for what one might hope to see, where socially responsible building design is concerned.

We are constantly being exposed to various outlooks, cultural nuances, philosophies applied to design and a blurred boundary in design; apart from the rich turnout of design-laden projects from the Fashion Weeks and the WAF’13, do check out the Frames Project by Ukrainian architect Igor Sirotov and the newest Hilton Hotel in Pune, India by Japan’s Apollo Architects...

Have a contemplative week ahead...
Warmly,
Savitha Hira
